sticky trunk by remote
my remote key for opening the trunk seems to take several clicks or I have to hold it down for a few seconds to open the trunk. Both keys have this problem.
is this an easy fix by the dealer?

Let me know as mine was doing the same thing when you were with me in Regensburg!

Gene,
my local SW says that it is normal to have that delay. I'll confirm this with the other owners and get another opinion. It's okay though because on my other e46's, the trunk remote was a little to sensitive and I'd accidentally open it at times. Keep ya posted.

Thanks. Yes, your description was exactly what I noticed. And I remember going out to the parking lot in Regensburg when you were talking to the helpful security guard and it was a few tries to get it to open. I figured it was normal but if its not, I'd like to know.

I find that mine opens immediately if the car is fully unlocked. It takes a longer push to open when the car is locked or partially unlocked (like driver door only).

mine you have to hold for a second before releasing it. if you do it to fast it doesn't work. I figured it's just the way it is set up so that you don't open it too easily. after a year I guess I am used to it!
