2004 325xiT Bluetooth success
Yep, got my Bimmer recoded so that the Bluetooth module works.
Pairing needed the new button (the one on the steering wheel didn't work for pairing --no surprise) and went very well with a Motorola V600 phone on T-Mobile network. It indicated kind of weird after pairing, but works fine, complete with the phonebook and voice command. I had to sign the "Your BMW Assist will no longer work if we take it out" disclaimer even though I had already removed the Assist module and replaced it with the BT module, but that's no big deal. As others have noted, I had no use for the BT antenna, antenna brcket, microphone, or BT module mounting bracket (for E46 coupe/sedan). So if anybody wants these parts, give me an e-mail to bob@bobclevenger.com. Yeah, my wagon had everything but the BT module, pairing button, and pairing button adapter cable already in place. The hard part was just getting to the Assist module to change it out!
