Just wondering aloud here, but has anyone noticed that the e90 330 has almost the same 0-100km/h times of 6.3s as the e46 330 zhp. This is despite the e90 engine being valvetronic and putting out more at 255hp/220lbft vs. the e46 zhp's 235/222. The transmision is the same, at least I think. The weight is the same. The zhp 18" wheels may even be heavier.
So, where is the real-world performance improvement of the e90 engine?

It's probably gearing, and the 0-60 times may not be accurate.
Didn't the E90 avoid weight gain by taking out the spare? Otherwise it would be heavier.
