Regensburg visit

Weel guys, i finally did it. I went to visit the Regensburg factory and got to see how all those beatiful 3 and 1 series got made. I got to see the brand new 3 series being made also, eventhought the tour guy totally denied it (dunno why ). I loved the tour but they would not let me take pictures( sorry I would have love to post some pics for you guys to see ) But if any out there would like to know something about the tour just let me know. All and all it KICKED ASS

I'm stuck at Hohenfels right now, just up the A3 from Regensburg. The car carriers heading out of the factory seem to be loaded with 1 series. Where is the factory in relation to downtown??

Regensburg plant is to the South-East of Regensburg in a suburb called Harting.

I just plotted it in my Nav and it took me right to the front door, but it is about 10 minutes from down town Regensburg. You can't get lost.
I've been to hoho before, what do you do down there?

What I'm doing right now is mostly sitting on my thumbs, waiting to get decent WX to fly a large amount of Army helo's down to the Balkans. Obviously not a great time for nice VFR weather in these parts.

Regensburg.. Love that place. I have quite a few relatives north of there, around Mitterteich and Waldsassen. I know it's a bit corny, but I crave a heaping helping from Der Historische Wursthaus along with a litre of hefe fairly frequently. I think the smallest helping they serve is 6 weisswurst sausages, along with a never ending basket of brown bread, and a giant pile of either warm potato salad, or sauerkraut. yum...
