Aftermarket Tires on the X3 - Bimmerfest

Hey folks,

I've just been presented with a great opportunity to buy a set of used 19" BMW OEM wheels from an E46 3 series. While the bolt pattern will work fine with the X3, I'm curious that the 235 size of the 19" tires might appear too "skinny" for the X3 and make the wheels appear disproportionate to the rest of the vehicle.

Any comments or experiences?

Those E46 19" tires are definitely too small for the X3. If I'm not mistaken, they are 235/35-19? The X3 requires 245/45-19 tires. So...if those used E46 wheels are too good to pass up, you can always buy new tires.

Thanks for confirming my worst fears. And you are correct, the tires are infact 235/35/19.
