Anyone?

Been driving BMW's for approx. 20 years and this is a first.

Got in the car this evening and the radio is not working. Push the "on" button repeatedly and still nothing. No orange LED beneath the button. Won't switch between modes etc. The crazy thing is my bluetooth phone will sync and show the phone numbers on the sat/nav screen. Will not do voice commands but half way home the sat/nav chick goes "notebook deleted".

The car is booked in for its 25K service next week but I'm hoping someone might know a simple fix for this. It looks like the speakers/radio have shut down for whatever reason.

I did do a search on this subject but could find nothing.

Should practice what I preach and investigate things further before bugging people.

My first thought was an AMP had blown so I stopped on the way home and bought a 5amp and 30amp. The book said the radio uses both of these. Changed them when I got home and still no luck.

Luckily I spoke with my Father last night and he stated that on many occasions he had purchased AMP's that were faulty.

So I bought two new ones this morning, popped them in and everything works fine again.

Thanks Pop
