Question Buying a used 330XI. What should I look for ?

Planning to buy a used BMW 330xi. Saw one online with a Saturn dealership. The pics look good and it is priced ok. They have their own inspection and certified series stuff. I was just wondering if anyone could guide me as to what should I look for/inspect when I go ahead to test drive it and all.

I've owned 2 xi's in the last two years and I don't think that any of the problems I've had have been xi specific. I'd just look for all the normal 3 series problems, window regulators and whatnot.

From my own experience and observations on this board I have found the xi to have less problems than the non AWD 3 series. Long term AWD is supposed to be more expensive to maintain, however.

I have a 2001 330xi and have had maybe two problems ( rear window regulator and moonroof sunshade coming off track). Other than that, my car's been quite strong!
