Mechanic in Bethesda, MD

Looking for a reasonable mechanic to service my 328i. Any thoughts? Any ideas on how much a standard 60,000 mile check up ought to cost with no major issues?

Thanks.

Another endoresement for BMW Excluservice in Rockville MD.
Curry's Auto also gets good reviews, but their closest shop is in Falls Church VA.

I just had my 325i serviced at BMW Excluservice in Rockville for Inspection II. The sticker price for the service was $675. I got a call from the adviser that the micro filter should be replaced. I said wasn't that included in the service pacakge? He said, the labor yes, but the part no. And the part price for the micro filter was $60. I declined to have them replace the filter for me. That part from BMW VOB dealer is $38.

Tire balance and rotation is $70 there, btw.

It's a nice shop and the work is presumably great, but the price isn't as low as I thought it would be in comparison with dealers.

I always bring my parts over there...

And if you check how much the dealer asks for a 60k mi Inspection II, you might go back to Excluservice anyway...

YMMV.

I don't doubt you on that. I was used to when dealer quotes a package price, labor and parts are included. It seemed strange to me that they would include only the labor but not the parts. But I will do what you did from now on, bringing my own parts in.

Thanks for the tip.
