How good is Lumar Tint?

as stated in the title, have anyone used lumar tint? are there any negative things i should watch out for with this tint? I got a good quote for this($160 for 330ci) and was wondering if it's worth it.

thanks in advance

its pretty good tint, just make sure you get a good installer who can take care of dot grid on the edges of the rear window and backs his work properly with a warranty

There are many tints out there. Don't get caught up in the brand/name/cost. If it is applied right and they guarantee their work then you're good. If you are 90210 then I guess it would matter.

Guarantee's are great, but if the rear windshield tint goes south, do you really think they'll replace the windshield? Doubt it. Doing your HW is definately worth the time IMO.

I had my 330ci done last spring with the Lumar tint and I love it. The guy that did mine really worked some good magic with the dot matrix along the driver/passenger windows and the rear window. I also paid $160...you're getting a good price.

Good choice, I got Llumar tint last summer and it's great. Love the color and durability of it. I got mine done where the dealership gets new cars done, so it's all about how good the installer is.

Thanking about tinting my cic windows. What did he do for the dot matrix? Do they show as a white line?

had my tint done by Tint Devil for 320 bucks.....pretty ridiculous, and the tint by the dots on the top corner of the driver window is pretty bunk...took it back and the guy said that is not covered under warranty, and that it always happens to cars like mine. i dont notice it anymore though, he did the back windshield alright

A lot of tint shops eliminate the black dot pattern entirely.

First the tint is applied to the window; but it's cut short of the dot pattern. So the tint does not touch any of the black dots.

Then an adhesive-backed black vinyl is cut to fit over the black dot pattern...making the black dots disappear, both inside and out of the car.

Talk to your installer, it's the way to go.

(Yes, you will lose some rear window view, but it's worth it if you're going to tint)
