'05 330 CIC w/ Navigation. How I upgrade stereo?!

I have done searches for doing this, and I am unable to find any hard information on how it can be done.

I have an 05 330 CIC with navigation coming. I want to play MP3s, and have a "real" subwoofer. I have an avionixx amplifier that does 800Wx1 (4 OHM), 400Wx2 (2 OHM), 200Wx2 (4 OHM). I had it plugged into a 12" subwoofer (1000W RMS) but it won't fit in the BMW trunk.

What am I going to have to do to be able to play MP3s and at the very least get my amplifier in the car with 2 subwoofers instead of using the HK "sub"?

Thanks for the help, XD. Maybe I'll come back when the car is actually delivered.

It's my understanding that the '05 head unit plays mp3's, though I am not sure about the one with nav. Can't answer your Q about the amp, though.

As far as I know, the navigation system is not mp3 compatible. that's why I'm trying to research how to upgrade my stereo system. I want to be able to play MP3s and have a subwoofer/amp (at a minimum). At a maximum, I would want a new head unit powering my system, along with front components (I thinkit's impossible).

hi - did you have any luck with playing mp3 on a 330 with sat nav? I have the BMW CD+changer+satnav+bluetooth+HK and neither the CD unit nor the changer play mp3s. Some people seem to thing the Icelink + iPod will work and some don't. Some people think the Alpine CD CDA-S634 will work and some don't. Have you had any luck???

One option for the subwoofers... http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=74642... and for the MP3s you can get an iPod with an ice>Link Plus adapter.

I got both systems in my M3 with HK (and OEM Sirius too) and it sounds like the way it should come from the factory for $675.00...
