F22 / F23 2 Series (2014 - Current)
The 2 Series coupe is the replacement for the E82/E88 1 series coupe. Production starts in November 2013 on the 228i (N20) and M235i (N55) coupes. Look for them in dealerships in February 2014. The convertible F23 2 series will follow in the fall of 2014.

Losing power when accelerating

Hello guys

I recently started noticing my 116d (f20, 2012) drops power for like half a second each time I try to accelerate from 3th (or 4th) gear (after taking a corner, not from standstill of course). It feels like it briefly breaks, but I think it's just a power drop. I'll attach my laptop to the OBD port over the next weekend to read out the fault codes (if present), but I'm very interested in your ideas about his.

Thanks

Do you have x-Drive? If so then yes it is a little bit of braking effect because it thought you were a little fast in the corner according to it's parameters.

Golly Mr. Science, if wasn't for the wheel, my dad would have to drag his car to work!

The car popped up a warning yesterday while driving on the highway about a problem with the drivetrain.

Called BMW assistance and the car was taken to the garage (they didn't even take the time to read out the OBD). Oh well, it's free so I'm now driving a 3-series for a few days. There's probably some problem with the turbo.

I'll post the garage findings here on Monday.
