E82 / E87 / E88 / F20 1 Series (2008 - 2014)
BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by a naturaly aspirated inline 6 in the 128 or the turbo twin power inline 6 rocket sled 135.

Does a new heater/AC control unit need to be coded?

I recently bought an M Sport style in car control unit for the heater and AC, so has the chrome knobs etc. However, since swapping my car has thrown up a few errors rwferencing heaters and air con.

Is this normal? Is there an easy fix for these? I would ask someone to clear the codes but the in car heater doesn't work properly since these came up in that it takes an age to heat up and I need to turn dials up to 28 degrees to get any heat and anything below that seems to blow out cool or cold air.

Any ideas?

Here are the errors:

1. Engine-DDE Diesel electronics
- 43F2 DDE: Electric auxiliary heater, activation, not present

- 4BF3 Message error (air conditioning, 0x1B5), DDE receiver, IHKA transmitter, present

3. JBE Junction-box electronics
- C910 No message, receiver JBE, transmitter IHKA, not present

7. IHKA Integrated automatic heating/air conditioning
- E72E Message (status of Automatic Start/Stop function, 0x308) faulty, receiver IHKA, transmitter DME-DDE, present

- 9C4E IHKA: Front stratification-flap motor, present

- E72D Message error (status valve air conditioning compressor, 2D6, (1E2 E87)), receiver integrated automatic heating / air conditioning system, transmitter CCC/MASK/RAD2, present
