just got a 2014 328i asking opinions!

Hey guys,

So I just bought a 2014 328i about 5 days ago and I really want to add my first little mod to the car. Im trying to get a nice exhaust for it. As of right now I'm deciding between the dinan exhaust and the m sport exhaust. So far I'm liking m sport exhaust better but i just wanted to ask. any opinions on which one to get or maybe any other good options besides those. Anything will help thanks in advance!

Interested. I have a M sport F31, is it just as easy as adding 335 diffuser, cutting stock off, and installing sportline? Thanks

downpipe + ecu tune. great sound and better performance then just an exhaust system. you can also get a catted downpipe if you'e worred about emissions and then an axle-back such as REMUS. much more effective soliution

I would go with a ECU tune now and then exhaust + downpipe and then add in a charge pipe eventually as your car gets a bit older (60,000 + miles). I just installed a Dinan Stage 1 Performance Tuner to my 2014 328i sport line and it added a ton of power. My next additions will be a downpipe (probably a catted evolution raceworks) and then a exhaust (most likely M performance, dinan or eisenmann), and then a chargepipe (also probably evolution raceworks) - after that if I want to get wild I'll add a larger turbo, upgraded intercooler/oil cooler and increase my ECU stage, brakes/tires, etc. With a stage 1 + exhaust + DP, that would put your car around 330-340hp/350-360 torque I imagine.

With a stock 2014 328i sport line, I added a dinan stage 1 to mine, and I run a 0-60mph at roughly 5.1-5.25 seconds which is solid when compared to the 5.6 seconds claimed by bmw, if correct.

To start though, I would do a ECU mod, which is what I did. And I recommend Dinan b/c the performance is awesome, it's a DIY install (took me 45 min) and it's covered under warranty and emissions covered. Only my opinion though, so good luck man! Keep us updated.
