CA draining battery while off?

So I was sitting in my car with Engine and all lights/ everything turned off for about an hour. When I tried to turn on the engine, it wouldn't start. Luckily I was able get a jump from a friend and I was good to go. The next day, same thing happened. So another day after that thinking that it might be CA, I removed the battery on the fob and sat in the car for about an hour as usual. It started without any problem.

I checked the fuses and everything was working. Anyone experienced anything like this? I been driving without CA and its been fine but it's a lot hassle. Thinking about taking it in the dealers this week but wanted to check with people from here.

Thanks in advance

Are you doing a lot of short trips so the battery doesn't have time to get recharged?

If a CA key is near the car it keeps some modules awake which might drain the battery.

some thoughts:
- your battery isn't fully charged for whatever reason. short trips? bad alternator? bad battery?
- car off, but modules awake for 1 hour needs ~20Ah charge. Your battery capacity is around 100Ah. If the state of charge of the battery is around 40% when stopping the engine, this no-start issue could easily happen.
- temporarily you could put the key in a fully closed metal case when sitting in the car.

My thought is the same as acoste. You likely have a battery problem. If you take a lot of short trips, AND park in a garage and dont lock the car when you get out, its likely your battery is never getting fully charged. You either have a bad battery, or a low battery, probably. Get yourself a battery charger ( make sure you get one that works for your car which likely has an AGM battery).
