I want to add navigation... help!

Sorry if this question has become redundant but can I add Navigation to my 2003 325i? Problem is I do not care for the "magellan" solution. I would prefer, if possible, to change my current dashboard for one with navigation. Is this even possible through BMW? God, I hope it is possible!! Second option for me would be a carpc, this is a second option cus I kinda suspect that this will ruin any trade-in value. If it is not gonna mess the tradein please let me know.
Attached pics are actual custom jobs for carpcs... not bad huh

My guess would be: parts and labor at the dealer, over $3000. You'd probably be better off tradin in for a 2005 with Navi.

The cheapest that I 've have seen is $4100.00, brand new as a full kit here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...958142177&rd=1

You can get the all the components used for much less on eBay; the only one that you should buy brand new is the retrofit cable for around $200.00 at your local dealer: 61-12-0-309-250 CABLE SET. This is the main component to make this retrofit work together exactly identical as OEM as well as making the installation a DYI.

Man, this sucks! I cannot do a DIY because it will void my warranty and when the cost starts to go north of $4000 I do not know if it is worth it.... now I know why this is not a very popular option for a lot of guys. $5000 with loss of warranty for just navigation... I don't know

It's called "trade the car in."

The only thing you'll lose the warranty on will be the navigation / radio / etc. It is illegal for them to void the entire warranty. See other discussions here.

You should be able to pick up some of the expensive items (MK IV computer, display, tuner) less expensively. For example, I have a MK IV (gently used, comes with an original 2004-2 map disc) and BM53 tuner (brand new) that I'm selling. If you decide to go through with this, make me an offer.
