Questions

I currently have a 04 TL 6mt/navi. I haven't had time to test drive a 330i 6mt. Has anyone here driven a Honda/Acura 6mt before? How is it compared to BMW's 6mt? Like the shifting and the clutch?
I like how the TL's clutch and shifter is.

I'm looking to trade my TL for a 330i. The TL is a very reliable car but the quality just isn't there. Interior is beautiful. But what good is a nice looking interior if the materials used are not up to par. I also have some paint peeling on my front bumper from where the headlight meets the bumper.

The navi in the TL is excellent. I never used another car's navi before though. How is the E90's navi? Can you do such things like find nerest Japanese restaurant? Can you search by inputing the name of the restaurant or of a certain store? Does it show the name of the street you're currently driving on? Can you input an address by voice?(TL can't but the new M35/45 can)
Can someone post some pics of the navi zoomed all they way in?

I want a true sports sedan!

Let's just say that I doubt you'll have paint peeling with a German car's paint job.

You won't be disappointed...I just got one w/a 6 Speed manual and the freakin' clutch is awesome. Plus its just as great for "lazy" driving when you're stuck in traffic.

For rowing through the gears to max out performance there's just no substitute;; you should definitely get the manual trans if you're considering the 330.

No one buys a BMW for that crap. Honda/Acura will always do the electronics better.

I'm not buying the 330i for the navi. I do need a navi though and I just wanted to know how the navi was.

So you're calling the navi, bluetooth, iDrive, anything electronics crap?

I drived both TSX and 325i. TSX gear box has short throw and the clutch travel is short also. Personally, I like the TSX shifting mechanism better, but only by a small margin.

The manual of 325i is way better than G35.

I don't think any navi can accept voice address yet. You can voice the phone and the system can lookup the address in M35.

The TL's Navi is much better. It is larger. The TL also has sun sensitive climate control. I am not sure if this is a really needed feature.

Even though the E90's screen is longer (is it 21:9 aspect ratio ?), the map does not take up the whole width of the screen. But the position of the screen on the E90 is less distractive than on the TL.

When I test drove the TL when it was released in 2004, I did not find significantly different from my Honda Accord in terms of handling. So I chose not to buy it.

I thought the E90 has the sun sensitive climate control also.

So does the navi display the current street you are driving on?

I read on the Infiniti site and freshalloy that you can input the destination address with your voice on the M.

I strongly disagree! It might not be the best out there, but it most certainly isn't "crap".

I guess you don't like the safety features in the BMWs. Since they are all considered electronics.
Maybe you can take everything that needs power out of your BMW and cut a hole under your car and use your feet to make the car go. Just like the Flintstones.

As my name implies, I am a former 3G TL owner, jut got rid of my 6 months old TL about a week ago because quality in Acura just SUCKS..plain and simple.
I am now a happy owner of a 2006 BMW 525i (initially I wanted a 330i but I got a very sweet deal on 525i). I do not have navi because, at least for me, it's useless but I can tell you a few words about i-Drive (you will get it on 325 should you decide to get Navi package). IMHO i-Drive is, for short, the most intuitive and easy to use car system I ever worked with.
After 10 minutes I was mastering all menus and commands. Why so many people complain about it is beyond me but I don't judge anyone.
As far as Navi goes, my friend has a 2004 745i with navi and he is very happy with it.

I owned a 2002 Acura TL-S with navigation and while that NAV screen is garbage compared to the 2004 version I can tell you this....

ACURA PARTS/SERVICE is HORRIBLE. Their parts are made like crap and you'd get treated better if you owned a KIA than an ACURA it's TERRIBLE!

Thanks for the replies.
I don't think I will get another Acura again.
