Blower runs on and cycles velocity
I have a 2002 325i and the blower is running on after the car is shut off. It also blows at varied speeds like it has a mind of its own. Is this a big problem or is it a simple fix with a relay replacement? The blower works fine otherwise and will operate on high and low settings. Any help is appreciated.

It could also be the climate control module, but less likely. I believe the latest part is 64 11 6 956 319, but it requires coding by the dealer and is an easy swap, so you might as well let them do the whole job if it is the control module. |

Hi
Just replaced my FSR on 2001 325i se what a nightmare. things might be slightly different because mine is right hand drive. Location right hand drive remove plastic from under stearing wheel ( left hand will be glove box) on mine there was a flapper actuator and motor obstructing the view of the FSR if you look left bottom of the foot well just above the carpet level it was hidding there. It was quite hard to remove because of the flapper actuator. Removed the motor drive for actuator and moved to one side pushed the bar for the flapper so it was all the way in and then with a pair of long nose pliers removed the FSR. new one went straight in as slightly shorter.
