Sparkilng Graphite.

So I took my car to work on it's first real day out, and everyone is looking at the color and saying that it is absolutely fantastic.

Of course, they are right. I don't know why BMW bother to make other colors. This is perfect!

I'll be darned. I thought this was an e90 color only. I assumed it replaced steel gray on the e46's. Was this a change for 2005?

March '05 I think?

Same time as they removed the alcantara wheel and put on the leather one. Which rocks.

Mein Auto: is way too fast
Actually it was a coupe-only (Why BMW why?!) option for the 05s. I think it came out closer to December of 04, because I was looking into it for my ED order back then.

BTW, the Alcantara wheel rocks too!

I Loooove the color too. It does have some purpley hues to it, but looks really silvery other times. I only wish it were in my driveway right now. Waiting for redelivery. I have three favorite pics that I took of the car, during my ED:

When new at Freimann/Munich:

Later that same day in Dinkelsbuhl:

You drove from Germany to a dirt road in Spain? Sounds like fun. I did a complete loop around Italy a couple years ago, next trip will be Germany and Spain.

I wanted some cool pics, and I was driving by some cool orange and olive orchards. Since I had Helga, my nav assistant, riding along, I just took an exit off of the highway, and tried to find a few cool places to take pics from. I never did get the stereotypical shot of the car overlooking the valley, like a scene from Sound of Music though. I drove by that scene numerous time though.
