fan problems, heater fan :(

Anyone know how to fix the issue with the fan (heater/climate control) not working full speed. Only works on the lowest speed. I can crank it up to full and get nothing. Just idles along on the lowest speed. I took the covers near the firewall off to reveal the blower motor but cant see anything that would limit it.

Any help would be nice, quite urgent as its my mother in laws beemaa :S and i have it in peices

Final Stage resistor problem

If you do a search you will find it is most likely the final stage resistor. I have a 330cic and Brisbane BMW just quoted me $320 to replace including labour. You could try to do it yourself, but because we have RHD models it is a lot more fiddly. If you are in Sydney, Trivetts are pretty reasonable but you could also try Sydney BMW in Ruchcutters Bay.....
Good luck.
