Worlds Stupidest Question~Yes,I'm New

Hi

I stumbled across this site looking for advice and hadn't planned on posting, but ya'll seem nice and I need help. FYI I know nothing about cars

o.k. I said it was dumb

My car battery died, what do I do? Who do I call to replace it? Can it be done at my place? I saw in other posts ppl go to Auto Zone, do they put them in? About how much should it cost? Sorry so dumb, feel free to reply as if you are talking to a 5yr old. I looked and couldn't find the answer. I would be grateful for any advice.

oh, 318is 95
