325i impressions

325i/ titanium silver/ black leather/poplar wood trim/ cold weather,premium,sport packages/ Steptronic/ xenons/ sat radio/ logic 7/ rear sunshades.
All i have to say is....AMAZING.
The handling is unbelievable epseically since i have the sports package. The only problem is that i am just getting used to how low the car is. I went from driving a 2002 GMC ENVOY (which btw is a great car-- leased it though) to this car. I have to watch bumps, driveways, etc.
Xenons are cool as well. Love how they bend with the road. Makes everything very visible.
I am also satisfied with the gas consumption. I drive about 250-300 miles before refilling. My last tank was 298miles and i still had 20-30 miles left according to the readout on the dash.
I am also glad i didn't get the idrive cause i think it sux. Horrible interface. The nav on my dad's cl500 is much better.

325i sport pkg, titanium silver with 'ette, xenon, heated seats, and silver trim. I have been trying to take the picture of it but it has been waaaaay tooooo hooooot here in DC area. I am having so much fun but CDV is killing me. Trying to learn smooth shift with CDV like a first time driver...... Anyway, great car with super smooth engine and super stable handling. Only the problem is that I have to really try hard hot to speed.
2006 325i soon to be sold
2010 335is On Order

O.K....up until about two weeks ago I'd been driving my E46 'cause I had a little 'sale' planned & thought I'd make the most of it before it went bye-bye. But, after a little incident with the E46's front bumper (don't ask) the sale fell through and now the E46 is parked instead.

First, let me say that in the past week I have pretty much broken the rules. I am barely at 1000 miles and I have revved it up to 6k more than a few times, but I haven't kept it there for very long. As someone said, there is no excuse to NOT drive this car and yes, it actually does seem to reach out and give you tips on how to drive better. On-ramps & off-ramps DO NOT EXIST to this car. The power delivery is very smooth and linear, and I don't know about the 325's gearbox, but the 330's is very sweet,;; slick & precise.

CONS: Hitting lousy pot-holes on the highways of New Jersey is just not the Sport's package's cup of tea. This morning I had it going up to about 90 mph trying to catch up to this biyatch in a Civic (keep in mind I'm trying to obey the rules) and the problem was that as I tried to build acceleration, the damn potholes just ruined the experience, and I had to slow down, But gradually, as traffic begin to build again, I got past her ANYWAY! I think she was just irritated that everyone was getting out of my way, even though I really wasn't speeding (at least not initially)....

On the NJ Turnpike, the car is like an E39. Quiet, smooth...and eats up the open road for breakfast. Active steering or not, I especially find high-speed lane changes to be such a BREEEEEZZE...its just like the on-ramps, like you were just casually passing someone. All-in-all, with little mileage, the experience has been pleasant and exhilarating!
