What are you looking for, performance, comfort, long life, etc... I'd check out www.tirerack.com or post to Gary in the tirerack room.

Looking for an all purpose tire I suppose, been to tirerack, the possibilities seem endless. Was hoping to get some "real world" feedback from BMW owners. I'll ask Gary @ TR...thanks.

I just put a set of hankook ventus h11 405 on my car and they are great for all purpose driving and a reasonable price.

I've had 2 sets of Yoko ES100s. Damn good tire for $100 (slightly more now). I got about 18-20K miles a set, including several track days. If I'm instructing for a one day event, I just leave the street tires on, for 2 days I'll bring the RA-1s.
I going to try the Hankook Z212 or the Toyo T1-R next, depending on the deals I can get...
