Mein Auto: 1993 525i
LCD Panel went nuts

i was driving today and the LCD panel went haywire then shut off. The car runs fine and after parking for a bit i fired it back up and the LCD was fine. WTF?

If you have a pre-1995 with a gear selector switch... it's probably time to clean it. Do a seach on this.... The part is located under your center console cover. It tells the LCD what to display and serves as a neutral postion switch so you can't start you car in drive. BTW, you might notice an improvement in acceleration and better MPG if you clean the switch since it alls talks to the DME.
