Forgive me for asking, but why is there no 7 series board? I must say, i am a recovering .org junkie. And it's been only the past few months that ive been more active over here
, so i may have missed out on an explanation. The reason im asking is mainly because of the garbage people have been dealing with over at .org's E65 board. The trolling is pretty bad over there. Its definetly as bad as the .org E46 board used to be, maybe even more. As we all know, people have been having some glitches with their new 7's, and so they post at .org to try and get some answers. Then, some idiot posts "Haha your cars a piece of crap" or something like "You shoulda got a Lexus, not that POS." People have tried to ignore it, but its just getting annoying. I think some of the E65 guys would MUCH rather post over here, i.e. registered members, ignore list.... At first i thought there wasnt a 7 board because it wasnt considered a "performance sports car" by some. Well, i consider any 7 series more of a performance sports car than the X5 SUV I know the E65 isnt the most likeable BMW, but there's also the E38 and E32, so a new forum doesnt have to be dedicated to the most controversial BMW. Id feel confident in saying that if a new board was to open, It would be fairly active. I for one would be a frequent visitor, rost12 as well. And hopefully some of the guys at .org would frequent here as well. LowTech/jallen365 is already a member here (and has both and E38 and E65). Maybe Brian Lewis (you know him, right?) and some of the others would. And then theres the people here who would just wanna post something in the 7 board. I hate for this to be an inconvenience, but would this be a viable option?? The guys at .org wanna come to a place where they can talk about their cars and not worry about trolls. They wanna find an informative, fun, and a cool place where they can do this, and of course this is the place. Thanks Jon p.s, if moderating would be a problem, maybe rost12 or myself could help out

Re: Jon, would it be possible to open a 7 series board?

addition of a 7-Series board would be a great one. It just has to make sense. One maybe not so obvious concern is that it wouldn't get enough traffic to justify its' existence. JonM, Ron, Scott and the others have done a lot to bring the Z Roadster board up to speed, but we still have forums like the 5-Series, and X-Series that don't see much traffic at all... "If you build it, they will come" isn't a sure thing on the Internet... You know, we will introduce a 7-Series board, as well as a 6-Series board (and 1-Series too) as we continue to grow. If our members do their part to promote, and facilitate our growth, this will all happen more quickly. We must be careful, though. We need more real "enthusiast" members, not more trolls... |

I would love to see a board for the 7-series. As a current 745 owner and a former owner of numerous other BMWs, I think communication with other 7er owners would be great.
Plus, it'd be one more excuse not to "work" at the office....

I vote "Yes"
![]() Although I can definetely see how such a board would not get much traffic. Most people who buy E65 don't really care about "car forums". Most traffic for the 7-er boards comes from E38 and older owners, who ARE actual car nuts ![]() But just how much space is needed for a separate 7-er board? Very little, me thinks. So why not make the few 7-er owners feel welcome? My 2000 rubles
