86 528e tape deck MTL message on display????
My factory tape deck (model CM5905) has a MTL message and the tape will fast foward,play for 1 second and fast foword again and again and again. At random it will clear the MTL message and play normaly... Has anyone had this problem and do they know what it means and how to clear it or fix it. Thanks

MTL display
If my memory serves me correctly this is for metal tapes (who woulda thought that would be extinct?) and there is no way to actually clear it. Your head unit may need servicing.
