I just picked up my 06' 325I from the dealership on Thurs. after waiting 8 weeks for it to be made and shipped here. Everything looked perfect when I picked it up. Then the next morning I was leaving for work and there was condensation in my headlights. They told me to wait and see if it dryed out. Well, it did, but when it gets cold again it does it again. So I took it in for service and they told me it was normal cause of the type of headlights. After running the headlight for 15 mins. the condensation should go away. Just wondering if anyone has had this problem or if they are just pulling my leg about it and I really have a problem here. I really don't think it is a link in the seal or anything like that cause it rained for the past two days here and I don't have pool of water in my lights from the rain. Can anyone help me????

I know with my headlights, I never had any problems with condensation. This was until I drilled holes in them to install my angel eyes. I used silicon sealant to form a waterproof seal over the holes. I also dried out the headlamp assembly in the oven at 150 degrees for about 20 minutes. I never had a problem with condensation again.
I don't think this is normal for any car. There is probably a bad or loose seal that is allowing moisture to enter the headlamp assembly. I would have the dealership take care of this for you. |

I got the same "it's normal" line from my dealer. I haven't tried to get them fixed, but the condensation is still occurring. |

The samething happened to me. I noticed the condensation the day they delivered the car. I complained and they gave me the same line - "It's normal". I did not buy it and refused to take delivery of the car until they replaced the right headlight assembly. They did two days later and NOW it works "normal".

"Fana" when you said they replaced the right headlight assembly was only your "right" headlight was having the condenstation or was you meaning they replaced them with the "correct" headlight?

Only the right lens had condensation. The replaced the whole head light assembly.

I would demand replacement of both. If they tell you that it is normal, ask them how come most of the other e90s on their lot do not have this problem?

There has been some discussion on this before.

I have never thought to ask them if the cars on the lot do the same thing. But, thanks I might do that. Seems lots of other people are having the same problem w/ the condensation on here.

I've got a 3-week old E90 325i (UK, normal headlights, not Zenons).
After I washed it a week or so ago, I noticed one of the headlights had some condensation inside, but the other one seemed fine. I decided to monitor, which I am still doing, but from the other reports it sounds to me like there might be some headlight seal problems !!?? |
