door locks

Drove '89 525i to work and back today - no problems, no warning lights...
Now, one hour later, key won't open door. 'flicking' the door handle doesn't turn on interior lights??? What's going on? The battery is only 3 months old. Please help.

Maybe you left your lights on?

Go to the passenger site. Insert key and turn to open. Then lift the handle and turn key further. The passenger door is now unlocked.

Did you recently build something in your car which needs voltage?
You might also have a powerleak somewhere.
