162's On
Well, today I finally got my 162's and tires mounted
. Its about time with these... Ive been waiting over 2 weeks now after I ordered them. Some quick thoughts after hitting the road for a little bit tonight: Non-RF high performance tires . I have the sport package on my 325i, and one of my big complaints with the RF tires was how every little small inconsistancy in the road was felt. I like the firmer ride, but this was maybe a little too firm. It doesnt help where one of the main roads I travel to and from work seems like they let the steamroller stop every 20 feet and sit for an hour The wheels... IMO, the smallest size wheels that should be offered should be the 18's. The wheels fill the wheel arch much better than the 17's. I couldnt see much when I got my car from the shop, so I decided to go to a well lit parking lot to get a better look. I love the look of the 162's. They are a clean and simple design that look great. They look to be much, much easier to clean than the 161's. Although the 161's were certainly no 135's, they were a pain to keep clean. More thoughts as the week goes on |

How much does it cost to put 162s on a 325i? I assume this was totally aftermarket.

All I had to say was, "Go Go Gadget 162's" Go to bmwwheels.com and tirerack. Youll get a good idea of how much it cost. I had someone buy my 161's, so it made it that much easier on me... |

Wow. According to Bimmerwheels, rear 162 wheels are 8.5" and front are 8". Learning every day.

All sport package wheels are 8.5 wide in the rear and 8 in the front, 325 and 330.. 330 just happens to be running 18's instead of 17's, and a little less sidewall on the tires... |

162 on 325 xi
Hey, wheels look FAN-TAS-TIC.
And if you order the rims/tires from bmwwheels.com, I estimate cost to be somewhere in the $1700 range with install? does that sound right? thanks. Last edited by phatratpak; 11-21-2005 at 10:42 PM. |

You can put them on a 325xi. Your car rides a little higher than my RWD 325, but it should look and ride great!!! Understand that at bmwwheels.com, you do not get tires. They do not include the option to get tires mounted. I bought my tires from www.tirerack.com If you buy from them, make mention of bimmerfest when ordering. I had a local shop mount and balance the tires and the wheels/tires on my car. Cost me only $80 If you looking at your costs, just take the price you have at bmwwheels.com, price for tires at tirerack, and about $100 to do the install. Thats your total cost to get the best looking wheels (IMO) on your E90 |
