TV to DVD?

Hi,

I just ordered a 6.30 Coupe. I'm going to have TV on it, i asked that question to the dealer, but i couldn't get a clear answer, do i have any chance to play DVD's on my screen? are there any mods to do it?

Congrats on your new Bimmer. Here in America, if I am not mistaken, there is a DVD player under the CD player in the 645/650 or is that somthing different?

There is a DVD player, but it can only play one kind of DVD. Can you guess which kind? Do you need a map?

I am aware of several owners in Europe with TV option but cannot remember if they play DVD or not. Hopefully a European forum member will chime in here. I do know that there are after market vendors that offer DVD to our iDrive screen capability, one of them being here: WWW.TVandNav2Go.com

yes there's a dvd player under the CD player, but my dealer told me that it only plays Navigation cd's, not the random DVD's.

on my 05 760i i can play dvd on the rear seat monitor but not on the dash one, i guess BMW doesn't think its a good idea to watch a movie while you are driving down the road.
i think i have to agree although id like to be the one to decide that and heck i might want to watch a dvd while im sitting in my car waiting for someone but then i guess i can just get in the back seat and watch it.

Be better if the HUD display came with a panoramic version to play DVDs on your windscreen. Now that woudl be cool. Dangerous, but cool.
