Question Can't find the blasted CD Player hookup

My car model is a 94 530i. The manual had no info on installing or finding the 'CD Changer', as it is labeled in the trunk of the car. There is a side panel in the trunk that has a little plastic thing on it that says 'Pre-Wired for CD Changer installation'. When you take this panel off, the only wiring behind it is for the rear-left brake light . On the panel there is a similar plastic label that says 'Pre-Wired for Phone Hookup'. The phone hookup is on the roof of the trunk, however. I've been looking for the wiring for the CD Changer, but haven't had any luck.

The reason I wanted to find the CD Changer wires was not only for a CD Changer, but for any device, using a plug that would go into it. I have a small device that plugs into my AC plug. It transmits a weak FM frequency to the radio, and can link to devices (such as laptops) and can run off of flash drives. It has a bit of interference, and I'm not sure if it's the best way I can do this.

Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.

when your car has a cd changer it is mounted the left side of the trunk. because of this the wires comes from the far back left corner. if you don't have the braket and changer installed they will throw the cable back behind the trunk lining. to find it. pull out your trunk floor spare tire carpeting. then remove the very back piece of the trunk. to take the back piece off there are 4 round plastic disks that are really like big nuts, it might seem hard at first but they spin off even by hand. then just pull it out. then on the left side, remove the two twist locks holding the the side trunk lining on, and remove it. its strong stuff so as it get caught on the net hook loops and the trunk shock, don't worry it won't tear or anything.

once that is off you will see a lot more then before. that box on the left is your factory amplifier to the stereo, and in the back there should be two wires. one with a large S video like head to it that connects to the cd changer for sound and communication, the other for power. if you don't use an OEM changer then you can use an Alpine adapter to use one of their changers.
