MP3 CD Changer for 2001 X5 /w NAV

Hi, has anybody installed aftermarker MP3 CD Changer to a '01 X5 with Navigation?
Will Alpine CHA-S634 work with it? If not what else will?

Yes, the Alpine CHA-S634 will work...but you'll also need an adapter from either Soundgate or Blitzsafe.

Thanks for your answer. Crutchfield said that it's incompatible with NAV systems, but someplace else I've read that it is, so I was confused.

I think Crutchfield is mistaken or confused. Some older DSP system will require an extra BNC connector from the CD changer and this is the one that is incompatible with the adapters that I've mentioned. So, if you have NAV, but no DSP, or a business CD without DSP, then either this soundgate adapter => http://www.logjamelectronics.com/souncdchanin4.html or this blitzsafe adapter => http://www.logjamelectronics.com/blitzbmwalpdmxv1.html will work. Both adapters will require and extra converter cable (Alpine KCA-130B) as well. You can always double checked my advice by asking the guys at logjamelectronics.com.
