E63 / E64 6 Series (2003 - 2013)
The E63/E64 BMW 6 Series builds on BMW's sporty heritage with aggressive lines and an incredible motor to back the design up. Available in coupe and convertible trims with a standard 4.8 liter engine producing 360 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque, the 6-series is a popular choice that exceeds expectations.

Unhappy Ruthenium trim

Does anyone have problems with dings and small scratches on their ruthenium trim? I find it marks very easily. If you have the same problem, how do you deal with it? I just found out that there is a 1Z (EinZett) metal polish and I was wondering if anyone has tried it?
TIA
Graham

Mine is almost two years old and looks great. I keep a very soft cloth in the door-side pouch and wipe it when ever I see dust on it. The only problem I had was when I took it to the dealer and the service department scratched it. They replaced two pieces when I brought it back. It does not seem like it would be expensive to have it replaced if it looks real bad?

I've had mine for a year. I don't do anything special with it except for making sure I keep metal objects away.

I make sure to keep non-ME objects away, mostly passengers. Those are the ones that do all the damage.
