7 Series - E65 / E66 (2002 - 2008)
Discussion of BMW's 4th generation E65/E66 7 Series flagship. The E65 generated much controversy, due to its radical styling and iDrive user difficulties. Nonetheless, the E65 broke records to become the best-selling 7-series iteration ever, especially after its 2005 facelift.

Unhappy Balance / Vibratioin issue

I have a 02' E65 that developed, what I thought to be a balance problem in one or both of the rear wheels. I've been through two sets of tires and repeated balances and yet, the issue remains. The dealer now believes me and put out a PUMA on the problem. The dealer first replaced the undercarriage bushings, test drove the car, and the vibration remians. They are now replacing the differential bushings. BMW has the dealer doing a trial and error diagnosis, which is not bad, since I am driving a 06' 325 loaner. However, I may never see my 7 again.

The dealer mentioned that they have seen this on other 02' & 03' 7's, but have not been able to completely solve the problem. Has anyone seen this problem?

Don't worry, you will get your car back in no time, and the problem will most likely not be solved.
A good allignment helps, however make sure that your tire pressure is not too low, 40 PSI per tire, not like they say on the door.
