M3 ED - Significant discounts - anyone?

Hello everyone..

I'm a new guy here, and am interested in getting an ED for my M3.

At first, I thought I would be able to save some cash doing it this way, and use it to fund a little vacation. But after a fellow bimmerfester pointed out, unfortunately there is no discount for this.

I'm still up for doing this though - from what I hear, I may be able to get the car $1500 cheaper by doing an ED, so that'll be enough for me to pay for a trip just for 2 days

Anyone else do this for an M3 and was able to get a significant discount?

Jay

and given the fact that the E46 M3 is on it's way out, I wouldn't expect any significant discounts at all. $1500 off MSRP would a very good deal at this point.

Getting $1500 of and doing ED WOuld be no different than ordering the car and getting it shipped to your local dealer for $1500 off.

I as asssuming that the allocations coming out the end of the month will be the last for the E46 coupes. This allocation is for April production. I expect the E46 coupe line to end production in April, retool in May and start prod on the E90 coupe in June or July. I coudl be wrong however.

I got my M3 production number about 10 days ago and then requested PCD. They told me the last date they could give me was April 28, which I took. They originally gave me a week earlier date, but I had a conflict. And the factory is closed to public tours.
