M3 Body Style

HI,

A guy around the block from me has an M3. When looking at all the pics I've seen of the
E46 M3 coupe his seems to have the following differences:

1) Wheel wells have more of a flair, especially the rear wells
2) Roof appears more rounded when looking from the side, front to back. Also less spread out over the body and a bit higher.
3) The back window seem to be less graduated toward the rear trunk, i.e. steeper slope.
4) When looking at the rear straight on it appears narrower between the tail lights. very similar to the rear of a 2000 BMW M Coupe

Anyone have an idea as to which M3 this could be?

Thanks,

MT

I think you are describing an E46 M3 cabriolet with the optional bolt on hardtop.

A very good look in my opinion. Too bad the price is a couple of hundred extra pounds............

My 330Cic looks better than other 330Ci cars when I have the hard top bolted on but it is also much heavier....
