If you are thinking of spending over $5k on a bodykit...

a while ago I started a thread about whether or not one could buy all the parts to do the 2006 facelift on a older e65/e66's. While most people agreed that it could be done, many people were guessing it would cost $15-20k in parts and paint.

Turns out a facelift would cost less than $1000 more than a full ACS bodykit, and you get ALOT more stuff too.

Yeah I saw this link about 3 weeks ago, very interesting. I'm back and forth on if its worth the 7-8k with installation / paint / etc, when you can get a WALD full kit for 3k ish. And then the issue of all those OEM panels that have been replaced at resale time, etc etc.

I guess this is a good time to ask, what is the most improved part of the 06?? In my opinion its the rear, what do you guys think?

I like the front of the 06, I prefer the rear of the 02. If say, I rear ended someone, I would just get the parts to convert the front end to 06.

True, installation of the retrofit kit will cost like 3x the installation of a Wald or ACS kit.

See thats the crazy part! I am interested to see if others will weigh in and the opinions will be split down the middle such as you and I.

And your rear end comment is exactly what I was eluding to, if you were to take a perfectly fine 02-05 and do this conversion, when sale time came, most prospects would think you "cracked up your 7 and switched the nose" lol

i love the rear of the new model best but like the side skirts of the older models
