2002s, 1600, Neu Klasse, Bavarias, Coupes, and early E12s and anyone else who wants to join.
We have been promised a dedicated spot for pre-76 vehicles.
The caravan will leave Camarillo at 7:00 AM.
Camarillo, is off the 101, about 10 minutes West of Thousand Oaks.
Take the Las Posas Exit, take a right at the exit, then take a left at the first light then into the McDonald's parking lot. We will leave at 7:00, drive at a sane and legal speed, get there early, and avoid the large bling bling crowd.

**** IT'S BIMMERTIME ****

I am seriously thinking about going down from Santa Barbara to meet up with you guys and driving back up just for the thrill of doing it. It is a spectacular drive 1st thing in the morning. Anyone else want to join me?? Probably leave a little after 6am, or you can just hold the coffee and ride along.. The caravans are half the fun of Bimmerfest.

Since I live in Camarillo, I may pop over 6:45'ish and grab a few pics. Since I have a E63, I'll likely wait for the "bling bling" caravan to drive up.

Say Bimmerfan, since you are local. Where do you think would be a good vantage point to take a few pictures of the caravan? (maybe your smaller one as well)

I'm thinking that there is a safe parking space off of Del Norte where I could setup on the overpass and grab a few shots and still have quick access to get back in my car and join the caravan.

The other overpasses in the area all are a bit crowded:

Santa Rosa/Pleasant Valley, Arneill, Carmen, Las Posas,Central,Rice,Rose,Ox Blvd,Vineyard,California Street

Thoughts?

Definately bringing one oldie.

The Touring is currently up in the air. Negotiations are on hold until further notice. Family issues, mechanical issues with the car, and 'the check is in the mail' issues have complicated things. =\

Considering that we are meeting at Las Posas, anything prior (Carmen, Arneil, Santa Rosa) will not work.
Del Norte has a quick entry and exit (unlike Rice and Rose) and you can park, walk 50 feet and be on the bridge, and snap pictures. We'll make sure we are cruising at a leisurely pace to give you plenty of time to snap pictures.

Not getting the Touring. The body had rusted away from the frame in the rear. So just bringing my 2002. NOT the Touring and the 2002.

Central is suicide.. nowhere to park and extreme traffic. Del Norte it is...

When you get off Las Posas, take a left at the exit light, go over the overpass, past the light for the northbound offramp, then take a left at Daily and we'll be there.
