SMG II violent jerking back and forth!

Somehow, I am not completely convinced that is the driver input only.
Why does it happen only in the first gear?

First gear is more direct. Just compare this; stomp on the throttle in 1st gear and stomp on the throttle in 6th gear, at the same rpm. Notice a difference ?
First gear is twitchy, probably even more in sport mode.

More acceleration/deceleration in 1st for throttle on/off. Makes your foot move more.

Agreed. But no amount of experience will prevent "oscillations" while upshifting from 1st to 2nd gear under strongly increasing throttle while going over a hard bump.

Some people suggest resting your foot up against the center tunnel and then rocking/tilting your foot into the gas slowly...it seems to help also.

Great advice (incl. turn off sport mode).

BTW, say "Hi" to Brian Okesson for me. And let him know that as I STRONGLY suspected and requested all BMWofE (Blithering Idjots) had to do was reset my SMG to fix the probs they created w/my car.
