After looking at pics for months...

and giving the Z4 an opportunity to grow on me, I walked away yesterday totally unimpressed and left scratching my head in total disbelief. The car is way overpriced for what you get. As a former Z3 2.5 owner I think the E36/7 had a much classier look. While I didn't drive the Z4 I can only assume it is superior to the Z3, but the overall (interior/exterior) design also plays a part of the purchase decision. Also before seeing the car in the flesh I thought I liked the new interior, nope that's a big negative. A fairly equipped 2.5 Z4 when compard to my former fairly equipped Z3 2.5 is 10 GRAND more! That's insane! What the hell were they thinking (in all aspects)?

Sean, what happened to your sig? Your post made me chuckle. I'm right there with you. After watching 'Hostage' (untimely name for new BMW film) with the Z4, I still think it's fugly. Interior, exterior, wheels = Engine = though.

I wasn't aware of the price increase, but now that I am, I think we will start seeing BMW lots overflowing with unsold 7ers and Z4's. Way to go Bangle! I guess I'll be holding onto my car forever unless things change for the better down the road.

I believe that the 3 and 4 series as a whole will move up n price to make room for the 1 series. The current 325i doesn't leave all that much room between it and the Mini.

I may be leaning your way, but need to see it during daylight and drive it again. In my post I said I was looking for more heft and substance.
