Modifying radio tuner 02-745Li

Does anyone know how to modify the radio tuner for audio input on the 02 745Li besides sending it to navtv.com and paying $350? does anyone know where it is on the car? i was told that it was in the C Pillar. Where is that exactly?
Thanks!
