Ron question

on the instrument cluster is it possible to remove the black shading that was put over the icons for the various controls
i.e rear fog controls are blacked out but there the coating that they are blacked out with ever try and remove it

There is no icon under the shading on my car. The shading is actually orange in my car and lights up dim when you add a bulb to it. You also have to cut the land on the board to isolate the bulb.
Tearing your car apart to install just rear fogs is not worth the effort.
Where did you get the Euro rear fog light print initially posted?

thanks for the info, my dealer was no help on wireing scematics but a few sources were found from my local bmw independent repair shop, im purchasing a euro spec wireing book from them once i get i can send you a copy if you want, but i dont have it yet.
