since they e92 will be pretty popular when it comes out, i doubt u will be able to get it even 1000 over invoice. i think the best deal u can get would be either MSRP or at best 1000 below MSRP.

Check out this thread. Seems people are putting down deposits for about $1k over invoice.

If you want to be the 1st in line then likely 1000-1200 over invoice. If you want to wait for a couple of months, maybe you can do it for under 1K over invoice.

Take anything you read here about great deals with a grain of salt. Many of the people here like to embellish their deals to make themselves look good. Good deals can be found but what you read here is rarely the case (example: those who were claiming to get a new 330i for invoice last year when it first came out You can't even do that today - a year after release). Good deals are possible, but $50-$500 over invoice on a newly released 335i would be a miracle. $1000 over invoice may even be pushing it unless you have a long standing relationship with the dealer.

It just depends on the dealer and how much he wants or needs to sell the car.

Pick a price you are confortable buying the car for and offer them that ... 500, 1000, 1500 or whatever over invoice. Make the offer and see where it goes.

I would think anywhere from 500 to 1500 would be reasonable to offer. 500 will be harder to find and might frustrate you more as you'll get a lot of dealers just not interested. 1000 would be a very good area to shoot for if you don't want to do to much work. I would recommend talking to the internet manager if they have one. I have much better luck dealing with the internet side than I do with the walking CSR.
