2006 M5 info exchange?

looks like there are a few M5ers out there....how about a few comments from the owners that have a little experience with the car? throw me a bone...tell me what it feels like at 8250 rpm and how 10 cylinders is sliced up with 7 gears....good lord..insanity

any descriptions will be welcome.....PICS too please...thanks

mine should arrive in 10 days.........

We saw one on the dyno Sat.
GAWD, that thing is quiet at those RPMS. Incredible car.
Put down 413whp.

who's dyno? I've heard these cars are almost impossible to dyno properly. First off, the best gear to use (1:1 ratio) is 6th gear with a speed of 165 mph at the HP peak of 7750 rpm. Most dyno's won't go that high, so you have to use a lower gear, which reduces the HP slightly. The other problems are with the computer restricting airflow/wheelspin etc...

413 is quite low from the other posts I've read. 420-430 is the norm, and European testing shows 530-540 HP at the crank. Where did you see the dyno?
