Hello fellow Bimmer owners/lovers

I have a very odd but irratating problem

When i pull away from a standstil (engine warm) and give it a bit of wellie, the power drops for a second then comes back again. it doesn't matter how much i rev it before dumping the clutch, it still happens.

I am sure it didn't always do it, but then dont often scream off from a standstill!!

I am going to replace my plugs this weekend anyway, but is there a test to see if my coils and leads are ok? i am sure they are, as there is no loss of power at any other time.

It is like the TC is trying to stop me running out of talent but......i dont have TC (i am sure)

ideas?

I hate that

Hey Private I also have the same problem I changed the fuel filter and plugs and it went away for a few weeks and it started doing that again but not as much as before. Now it happens when I drive for a long distance then some shifts from the first to the second gear will hesitate. I have seen in Wayne’s book thread fun2drive is doing some troubleshooting so keep checking there.
