Good Oil?????????????

what do you guys put in your beemas? is penrite oil any good?

I use castrol gtx.

I just assume any brand is just as good. I dont really mind about the brand just that I use 10w30 since my car is almost 100k or maybe i should go 20w50?

I use Mobil 1 5W-30 Synthetic

I am going to switch to 20w-50 in my next oil change. There is a difference between oils. I read about castrol gtx and it is considered one of the best.

we have always used mobile1 15/50 in our cars with great success

Redline 10/40 (1997 328i 42,000) I did a lot of looking aroung and came to my personal conclusions:

Go full synthetic, no matter what your mileage is.

Redline 10/40 or Mobil 1 0/40 a few buck more, but less than a tank of gas more than other oils

Still gotta change oil and filter, but 5000 to 7500 (or yearly) should still give greate protection

High quality filter

I was under the impression you shouldnt switch over to synthetic unless the car is practically brand new. My 94 325i has 118k is it too late? I will be changing the oil at 119500 miles? What do you think. And if I were to use synthetic I think I would go with royal purple unless you guys think something else is better?
