as for the original post, that is pretty cool, however I had a client that needed something for an H&K .45 subcompact, and he was left handed. we used a 2 magnetic latches ,( the type you see on audio rack glass doors) and hinged the bottom of an insert that goes over the door pocket, hit the top and it will push out and the gun is actually in a holster that is attached to the piece so it tilts out a bit also, and presto the reach in and grab.

Now as completely illegal as this is, it was neat. I deal with alot of celebrities so they feel the need to have these compartments. and if anyone has an f-150 newer, well you can unscrew the cover above the glove box, remove the brace (plastic) and add a bottom panel and if they need to access it, just remove the cover (factory plastic panel snaps) and you can toss an UZI in there!

got a pic of the setup? the gun holder is about $1K - not sure i want to spend that much. plus it comes from europe -- so if any problems, i can't go to local dealer and complain.

no pics, it is illegal as hell to do, like I did. and i already had run ins with ATF... but I can have someone collaborate it if they want to stop buy the shop, wouldn't want anyone to hoist a BS flag!

I do believe i have one of the F150 because it was used to hide his "personal things" like wallet keys, jewelery... where the other one was specific

there is a 2 year minimum sentencing for getting caught with something like that and it also goes to the person who did it. also a $10k fine. I was told by a local police officer that seen it, and hangs out here at night.

Trunk yes, gun rack in the rear window yes, hiding it purposely... NO

So be careful

Here is the F-150 holder, this will hold a full size H&K USP .45 in a holster that is velcro'd down or it will hold my shop phone. also the 5 horizontal openings are for the factory panel snaps that secure it, and the 2 circles, one on each side is a guide to keep it lined up... no screws hold the panel on

also i blacked out all the barcode info for the pic if you wonder... remember the feds aren't one to screw with especially after 9/11
