If you opt for pdc, you'll have in the front and back bumper, unlike some cars that only have it in the back. Plus the beeps are directional. If the object is at the right rear, then the beeps will come from your right rear speaker and so on. You can also choose to have the nav display show the car and where the object is at and how close you're to it.

That's what I used to think, too.
Now I use it every day - especially pulling into my parking spot at work. I can easily pull up extremely close to the wall - and make sure my big 750 butt isn't sticking out.
