Different lower grille?
Guys
I was in Paris this weekend and I noticed a slightly different looking 7er. I took this pic because it had a matte grey lower grill that I have not seen before. Is this part of some package available in Europe but not here? The car was a 740d, incidentally. May have something to do with the intake for the diesels. In the flesh the car looked great - the off colored grille made it look a bit sportier. |

I wonder if the new 745d did away with the grille. Its also on the six series - and I've never really liked it.

Then again I think BMs always look better on European streets. Not sure why... I am torn between an M5 and a 750i sport, and seeing this car reminded me how much I like the 7er. |

It is incredible to me that this particular car has so much presence in either White or Black!

That one's a bit too much for me. Drop the "L", add the sport pack and I'm there. But I know what you mean. Its why when I look at a S550 I think "Nice, but what do I need with a limo like that" but with a 7 I think: "Who would ever buy a 5 series when you can have that?"

Another thought that occurs to me is that you never want to tint too darkly on a black 7 (i or L) - like this owner did. This definately enhances "limo-ishness".
For a black 7 I'd say keep the tint to around 35% - get the sport package and 20 or 21 inch wheels and it looks striking.
