Some ideas on Forum categories
Hi everyone,
I think it's not a bad idea to add some new sub-categories on the forum portal, such as mods, general, off-topic, pictures etc. Please post your ideas. Alex

hey guys, i'll be lurking until this thing picks up.
my suggestion is to improve the censoring if possible. what i mean is stuff like: "The P^^^^ is Right" "cl^^^ification" "^^^^ you" okay that last one was valid, but you get the point. kurt

Hmmm that's interesting, the language software seems to be too sensitive. I think we'll have to look into that.

The cl^^^ic test for any board censoring software is to enter the name of Panasonic's Japanese parent company: Matsu^^^^a. Now which is worse? Matsu^^^^a or having to resort to "Matsu-s-h-i-t-a?"
 Oops, sorry, that should be cl-a-s-s-ic. Holy moly!

Back to the topic at hand, is BimmerFest for E46s only, or all BMWs? If it's open to all, I'd recommend at least segregating by 3-series, 5-series, etc, but not down to the level of M3 vs 325 vs 330.
Maybe there could just be some generic categories within the model lines as well, like "Audio", "Performance", "Maintenance", "General". I suspect most (non-obsessed  ) users will be able and willing to keep up with maybe five categories maximum.Finally, I'd also like to see an area for "Newbie questions". That way when the "old guard" users are feeling magnanimous they can help out the new folks, but those who are annoyed by seeing the same questions again and again won't be tempted to go smart-@$$ on them, since they won't have to see the posts unless they want to.
