I am currently in the market for a low mileage 2004 745Li and would like to know what options I should look for and how to identify on the car what it has. One option I def. want is the Comfort Access with keyless go. Some people tell me that the Keyless go with the Comfort Access package was not available until later models and some people say it is.
So my question is: How do I know if the 2004 745Li I am looking at has the comfort access with Keyless go? Is it even available on the 2004 models. I know this is my first post but I have been searching these forums for a while as a guest. Appreciate all the help also if anyone has any other tips on what I should look for on a used E65 let me know. Thanks in advance. -George |

Other than trying it for yourself, you can get the last 7 digits of the VIN # for the car you're interested and call BMW. They should be able to tell you.

I am unsure when it became avalible on the 7 series, but if you can look at the key fob you will be able to tell if the car has Confort Access.
Look on the back of the key fob, if it has a round bump in the shape of a watch battery with a cover then the car does has Comfort Access. |

I have an 04 and the dealer told me that was an option that came out in 2005 models.(crap!) Take it with a grain of salt of course because the salesmen don't always know what the hell they are talking about but I believe that he was correct.

This is the mixed information I have been hearing. Is there anyone here with an 2004 model that has the comfort access with keyless go? Is 2005 the first year when it became available?
Any help is greatly appreciated, this is the only feature I am really stuck on that I must have. Again thanks for all the info. -George |
